The Odd discontinued

Yup. Sorry. I found the challenge extremely boring because I've done several similar to it. I'll still leave it up on the site for people to see.

The Odd 1.5

Welcome back to The Odd! In this chapter, we'll find out why Memphis is making this face, what Xander and Memphis are doing for money, and if there will be a Generation 2!

After Xander moved in, our new household got 4,000 Simoleans cash. Not too shabby. As a refresher, our lot looks like this right now. 
But it's not enough for two Sims to live and raise a family of 2+ kids. Using the 4,000-some Simoleans Xander brought in, our house went from lawn living to a barn.

 It has a master bedoom with a double bed, a bathroom that only contains a toilet (so no showering), a dining table for six, a fridge and a stove. 

I can't say I'm extremely proud of it because my Oddballs will have to shower at the gym or pool. So, on with The Odd!

Memphis... What are you wearing? 
"A pretty dress."
But you're going to bed, shouldn't you be wearing pajamas?
"Nope."
Xander, you look giddy.
"Memphis's dress is short."
Love makes fools of us all, eh?

Ha-ha, you have to shower at the pool.
"Didn't your mother teach you not to invade on people's privacy? Especially when they're showering? And married?"
Nope.
"Well get out of here."
They call me Execution for a reason, you know.
"Meep."

With the Solitary restriction, Xander can only get a Part Time Job. So, I made him quit his current fail job and sent him to the Supermarket for a Part Time Job.
"I'm still a bagman, you know."

 Sure. Depends on what you mean by bag man. You bag food. 
"You're such a killjoy, aren't you?"
Yup.

Whutcha doin'?

"-no response-"

I think I'll leave you two lovebirds alone....

On second thought....
I hear lullabies~
"Go away, mommy."
Note:
Since the point of the Challenge is for the Oddling race to be able to reproduce in Simworld, only children with at least one of Memhpis's appearance characteristics are eligible for being the heir (As they are classified Oddlings). Examples are green skin, purple hair, black highlights, unibrow, red eyes. There may be others I just forgot. Point is, we don't want the mate's DNA. 

Xander, I see you've picked up on fishing?
"Mhmmmm."
Cool. Now go sell fish and make me-- err, us, money. 

Seeing as how Xander has picked up a new love for fishing, I've constructed a lake or two or three in The Odd Family's backyard. 

Xander currently has Rank Four Fishing, and he's made somewhere from a fourth to a half of all the money our family has 'made'. (The 4k Xander brought when he moved doesn't count).

Whenever Xander's not at work/asleep/taking care of his other needs, he's fishing. He'll probably have rank 10 fishing within a Sim week, and he turns Adult in 2 days. I'm almost proud of Xander, actually.

 Hey Memphis?
"Yes, Mommy?"
I think you're pregnant.
"No, I just got a cold."
From where? You've barely left the house at all.
"I don't like being pregnant -cry-"
I'm not gonna hug you.

Memphis, what are you wearing?
"Clothes...."
I think it's the crazy preggo hormones. 
"I'M NOT CRAZY. YOU'RE SO MEAN TO ME."
Yeah, I think I was right.

So Memphis went to the library to read a few Charisma books and meet a few friends. I'll explain now for those of you who didn't read my The Odd rules, Oddlings cannot get full-time jobs because of their poor social skills and fear of Sims. Their mates can only get Part Time Jobs. This restriction is lifted when an Heir or the Founder gets level 10 in Charisma. If two Oddlings get level 10, future Oddlings are not required to have the Loner trait. 

Baby bump number one occurred at the library, but Memphis is far too skinny for it to actually be any form of bump. She's just wearing maternity clothes and occasionally patting her stomach now. Somehow, I've gotten one pair of twins per generation for about 75 percent of my legacies to date. I'm hoping this is one of the 25, because my Sims are too poor to even consider being able to care for two or more Sim Babies at once. 

Memphis just met her mother-in-law. Xander hates both of his parents, but it's still a good idea for Memphis to make friends with Bessie to be able to rank Charisma. It's kind of awkward for my Loner sim to try to get to Level 10 Charisma. Right now, I'm just hoping that Memphis will get Level 10 Charisma and a decent rank in Painting and Guitar before Elder. 

Yay clothing glitches. This is what happens when ugly sims try to wear Uggs and skinny jeans from Abercrombie.
"I heard that!"
You were supposed to, not-sweetie. 

Wow. You really went to that eating contest. Really? Your baby's gonna be one fat little boy and/or girl. 
"I was hungry and it's free food."
Well, did you win?
"Nope."
That's either a baby bump or you've stuffed yourself silly. I'm thinking it's baby bump number two. But then again, you do have the stuffed moodlet.... 

Who are you calling? It's 5 AM, no one's gonna pick up.
"What if it's a Vampire?"
I don't have Late Night. 
"I'm calling my friend in the Medical career track, I have a stomachache."
Memphis, you're three days pregnant. I'm guessing it's not a stomachache. 

"Mommy, I'm giving birth! Get me to a hospital!"
No.
"Why not?"
I want to see you suffer.

"I really hate you sometimes."
I hate you too, not-sweetie. I'm still debating on whether or not to kill you after I'm done with The Odd challenge. 
"Since I don't really exist, I'm just a hidden part of your own personality. You're talking to yourself, so you're debating on whether or not to kill yourself."
I never knew you could say something of that intellectual level.

"Neither did I."




 Here is Memphis's child-birthing face. Is there something exciting about an Oddling slash Sim coming out of you?
"I'm not telling you."
I never knew 'I' could be this stubborn.

The Odd 1.0

Hello and welcome to The Odd, where everything happens! The Odd is a challenge I made myself, which contains only three generations (aww..) and involves crazy Sims! To find out more about my The Odd challenge, click the Challenges button at the top.


Here is our Founder, Memphis Eve The Odd! As you can see, she's not the prettiest thing on Earth. In fact, I'm scared of her. As all other Oddlings, Memphis Eve is an Insane, Inappropriate, Computer-whizzical Loner! Unlike most, however, she's also Artistic.

Yaaaaaay legacy lots! Memphis Eve is left with 120 Simoleans. 
"Zat enough to buy a purty wedding ring!"
Sure...

I'm scared already.


"I want a hubby so give him to me!"


I can't give you one but I can find you one. To the park!
"Whippeee!"

"Mommy, I found a guy! Are you proud of me?" 
I AM NOT YOUR MOTHER.
"Okay, mommy."
-facepalm-
This is Xander Clavell, who I've personally always hated. I almost hate myself for the "I saw him/her first" restriction, as I made the challenge. 

"I think he wants to marry me.... Whut should I do?"
Memphis, just because the word Diamond came up in a sentence does not mean he wants to marry you. 


"What should I wear?...."
Xander no want marry you.
"-shocked face-"

Memphis, are you breaking his back? 
"No, mommy, I think he likes me!"
Once again, I am not your mother. And someone actually likes you? I guess we both learned something new today.
"Yes, Daddy."
I'm gonna have a tough time with this Sim.

Well look at this... I guess it's going better than I thought. I think the only reason Xander's somehow attracted to her is because his favorite color is purple and he can't see her face because of her neanderthal-like hair 

"My face is soooo pretty, if he saw it he'd die!"

Yes. Of fear.

Xander & Memphis Eve

Aww, they look kinda cute together... And how do you talk while kissing someone? You're a crazy little Sim, aren't you?
Xander reminds me so much of K-fed right now. Part of why I hate him. This family is gonna be annoying... e D e


"Mommy?"


Yes not-sweetie?


"I think I love Xander"


But can he love a face like yours? That's the question....

So Memphis proposed to K-fed... I mean Xander. I wonder what their kids will look like... I'm guessing Odd. Pun intended. 





Here is Xander's point of view. 

I'm assuming he said yes?
"Mommy! I'm getting married! -hug-"
Didn't I tell you not to touch me? Yes, I'm this mean to almost all of my Sims. I lock them in rooms with an easel and force them to paint. Like I will you. 

Fear Xander's pits.
"-sniff sniff- They're not that bad."
Maybe in your mind, to me I see clouds of odor coming out. 

I guess you got that hug you wanted?


"Mhmmm, now I don't have to harass you. Yaaaay!"


Yay.

I guess I'm not the only one afraid of Memphis... Xander wet his pants and Memphis walked away.


"But mommy, he smelled bad."


I thought you said he smelled okay.


"That was before."


Riiiight. Now go get a big sniff because I have to marry you two.

"I, Xander K-Fed Clavell, take you, Memphis Eve The Odd, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, or the Lord comes for His own, and hereto I pledge you my faithfulness."

This can only mean one thing. XANDER CAN TALK TO ME NOW -facepalm- And Xander, why is your middle name K-Fed?

"I'm not K-Fed... that's such a silly idea... ha-ha... -shifty eyes-

"I don't care about vows, just marry us already, mommy."


You're such a romantic, Memphis. There's no surprise at all in why Xander likes her. 


"Are you being sarcastic, mommy?"


Maybe...

And so there they stood... kissing in a puddle of Xander's pee. How sweet. I'm so jealous.


"Mommy, did you lie about being sarcastic?"


No, I'd never lie to you. And I said maybe, so it's both a yes and no answer.
